Thursday September 8th at the Oshawa Gold Club - A jewel of a course in the heart of Oshawa where the 9th Annual Charity Golf Classic was held in support of Habitat for Humanity Durham. This event is part of the fundraising program for CentreTowne, a 24 unit townhome build located on Centre Street South in Oshawa with construction slated to start in May 2012.
Golfers vied for 3 hole in one prizes, including a Chevy Cruze, a Harley, and $20,000 cash. Several sponsors around the course offered up cigars, beer samples, gourmet coffee, and porchetta sandwiches. The winning team was captained by Brian Couperthwaite from Brookfeild Homes. The day finished off with a superb dinner, raffle prizes, and a successful silent auction table. A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped to raise $20,000 towards the build!
