Our dream began with a handful of dedicated Uxbridge individuals, it quickly grew with the support of many volunteers and sponsors.
Now that dream becomes reality. The Elliott family received the keys to their new Habitat Home in 2005, A home that they helped build, and will purchase with an interest-free mortgage.

Habitat for Humanity Durham Habitat for Humanity Durham is acommunity-based, charitable, faith-based organization working for a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Our mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty.
A member of Habitat for Humanity Canada and part of a worldwide network that spans 100 Countries, Internationally has built over 225,000 homes, and is now building a new home every 21 minutes. Habitat for Humanity Canada is responsible for over 1,000 homes with 72 affiliates in 10 provinces and two territories. Canada hosts 60 ReStores and has 11 Campus Chapters. Canada has also managed 31 Women Build Homes, and out of all the affiliates 57 will build 191 homes.
